Everyone, if you know it's been over a year, tell us. We've shown that we keep decent records, and if you do want any sort os shot at readmittance, there's a couple of things to keep in mind:
Be as accurate as possible about when you were last able to enter chat.
If it was a ban for an attitude issue, don't then give attitude when inquiring. This is a surefire way to get nothing reconsidered.
If it was one of the reasons listed on the chat entry page for being banned, you definitely will not be unbanned. That means pretty much anything illegal.
Being polite will get you the farthest. If you hope in insulting people and demanding this or that, other than momentary catharisis for you, it's not going to accomplish anything more than that.
