Hello, I can’t enter the chat rooms. I was in a couple of rooms, didn’t get any real chats, had to leave and after I opened the chat again I had to read that I have been banned by “velle”. And I don’t know why, no reason was mentioned. Very strange, please explain. Thank you

Yes, you were banned. For privacy reasons, we do not discuss the details of bans in public. I will PM you with the details, but first you must enable private messaging to your forum account.

To enable private messaging:

Go to your profile at the top right -- click on the circle that's there, click privacy, then make sure it says "start conversations with you" (toward the bottom of that box and either set it to "members only" or "all visitors") for some reason it defaults to no one until you change it.​

Once you have done that, hover over my name to the left, and choose "start conversation." I will reply once I've received that PM.

I can even copy and paste it right on into the forum where you can see and we can get the opinion of all the people who will read it...(and I assure you many will get out their popcorn) Ya know since you seem to be all about being open and transparent. Also just a side note...the thing that got you banned was witnessed by an actual mod because you decided to share it in the open room to anyone who was there so does that mean you wanted to be a mod then? I just want to make sure I understand. *bats my eyelashes*

Maybe there IS a case to post evidence of bannable stuff. Wouldn't take much to anonymise it, and those who come to this forum all aggrieved at their own bans can see what got others banned and maybe extrapolate/reflect on their own behaviour. Though, of course, the stupid and entitled would still think that they're somehow exceptional.

There are multiple reasons why the moderators do not publicly discuss bans, but to me, it is to protect not only the victim, witness or informant... but also to protect the person who was banned. if we posted all the reasons people have gotten banned, i have zero doubt that some of the reasons could and would lead to violence and abuse - not just on lit but possible out in the real world as well should their real ID ever be discovered. There are some truly horrific individuals out there.
