Siren said:The first amendment does not guarantee that your freedom of speech has no consequences, it does.
You can say whatever you want, without being arrested, including lies or defamation of someone's character. (which might get you in trouble with a civil lawsuit, but that is person on person, not government on person.)
But that doesnt mean that saying whatever you want wont get you banned from someplace or other such consequences. There can be rules of conduct...that does not infringe on your right to express yourself.
Say whatever you want without fear of arrest...that is what the first amendment stands for.
Not say whatever you want and never have anyone react to it.
This is a private site, not government run. They can refuse service or access to anyone they chose.
Is that clearer to you now?
Class dismissed for the second time today.

I like the concept, but don't know if it will work or not.Indifferent said:Just complain to the people who supply the software and host their site.
www.ezboard.com supply the software. If you go to their create site page you will find a contract that the site owner has to electronically sign.
One of the clauses is.
6. USER CONDUCT
You agree to not use the Service to:
(a) violate or solicit the violation of any applicable local, state, national or international law;
(b) infringe the rights of any third party, including but not limited to intellectual property rights and privacy or publicity rights
(c) upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any Content that (1) is unlawful, threatening, abusive, tortious, defamatory, obscene, libelous, or invasive of another's privacy;
Seems like they've done most of those.
Now any ideas how to find out who's server is hosting their site?

I tried that once with someone with an AOL address. The guy was threatening me and I turned copies of his email over to AOL. Not a thing happened to him.
