I'm just wondering if we're allowed to ask about bans from the main site; one of my longtime Favourite authors was just banned, and I am confused as to why, assuming I'm even allowed to ask...?

Have you tried the query board? Those guys know everything. :)

Banned from the whole site? The only insight will come from the site owners and I doubt they would discuss anything with someone other than the person banned, if even them.

Banned from Lit Chat? The person banned could ask the chat moderators in the Lit Chat Support Forum for insight (better to PM them directly).

Are you sure they got banned? Sometimes authors change names. Or they choose to deactivate their account and ask for their stories to be deleted.

This was slitlicker69, and they had posted very recently, with no hint that they planned to leave...

EDIT: I got an alert on my Follow page that they updated their profile; when I went to access it, I got the message about them being banned...

What does it matter what they are banned for? What are you doing to do contest it? If they are really into posting more submissions they can just make a new account and reference their previous account.

Reminds me of a hot dog restaurant in my town the owner decided to close. The town wanted to start a petition. Do they really think they have any say or affect on the matter?
