bad ratings!!!!!!!

Can somebody sooth my troubled soul? This is the feedback I got in reference to Ch.10 of The Cowboy Way.

i just read the cowboy again. i gave you a 1 because i have asked you to get your main character and britney back together.


I mean what am I supposed to do? I, just like all of you do, put a lot of work into these stories. I explained in the intro of several chapters that the stroy's title was not Britney's Way.

This guy seems to think that my mission in life is to give him material to get hi,self off on while he thinks of Britney.

Now I enjoy feedback, I thrive on it in fact. I have recieved emails from this guy before syaing he wants Britney and the main character, Ryley to get back together. I will not alter the uncharted course of this series based on one guy's opinion.

Have any of you gotten into situations like this? If you have I'd appreciate some words of advice or at least support. I appreciate your opinions as authors.

Yup. Ignore it. If that's not the way the story goes, then that's not the way the story goes. He'll either get over it, or he'll keep sending you email demanding you do what he wants you to do.

Don't piss of your fanbase, but you're not going to please everyone, either.

I had a similar problem with my story So Much Wind, which is the worst rated one I've got. Seven people demanded that I change the last few paragraphs to turn the guy into a "good" guy rather than the freakjob with a knife that I wrote him to be. I didn't change it. I have crappy ratings on that story. I could seriously care less.

While you're at it, could you change Britney into Britney Spears. Oh, and I think it would be really hot if you brought in Mandy Moore for a little hot girl on girl action.
