Bad accents and impressions

I can do an OK Maine accent. No one in those movies based on Stephen King novels ever attempts one.

Like all Midwesterners, I have no accent -- it's the rest of you guys who have accents. Of course, Arte thinks I sound like William H. Macy in Fargo. But it's a damnable lie.

My attempt at a Yorkshire accent. Should be from 'ull but more likely just generic.

"If you don't bloody like it, lump it" was one of my Dad's favourite expressions. Or at least I heard it a lot.

Didn't mean to leave you off the list cuz that was fab. I'm tempted to work the phrase into my own vernacular but I think it's the accent that sells it :D

lois, is that you?
someone should tell you your baby's a homicidal maniac

Yes!

Okay, another. No guessing this time - it's my Michelle Obama impression! And not to brag, but it's VERY accurate.

Thank you very much! Be great if I could speak with my native accent when I wanted. I wonder if I spent any time back 'ome if I would start to sound native. Certain parts of my speech habits I think are Yorkshire based. Not surprising considering listening to 'ull accents from birth. I do use the expression 'geroutoit' another of my dad's.

A buddy who originally hails from the south get annoyed when I say Mart-in not Mar-tin. Southern twat!
