Okay I "HAVE" to throw my brother one for some reason, even though noone thinks he's the kind of person to enjoy one blah.

thing is I've never been to one let alone thrown one.
and I've a strange croud to entertain.

what would common grounds be for a batcholers party with people ranging 18-60+ going?

if they were all people my brother and my's age, I'd have no problem with this.

but how do yo entertain a diverse croud?

he has few friends to invite so it will mostly be cousins (all in there 40's or over) our uncles in there 60's
like 3 friends of his if that. so 5 people in there 20's.
and an 18 year old, whic means.... can't do anything "fun"
then there is HER side of the family, noone likes her and her family is worse blah.
they are the snobish i'm better then you kind of people.
so no matter what I can think of doing for my brother.... well that leaves someone or some group out in all directions.

anyone have ideas they can bounce off me?
thanks.

Just make sure you get pics of the prospective groom nude in bed with the exotic dancer.

They will come in handy later when you need a loan or help moving.

Trust me.

Oh this is a guy question, I'm soooo running away from this question! :D

Okay, not a guy, but I have an idea that might be good for all ages, etc

How about a big sporting sort of thing? For example, a place that has batting cages and rock climbing walls. Or, maybe one of those places where you can race cars. Oh, what about organizing a paintball expedition? Or one of those places where you run around and shoot eachother with laser guns?

Just make sure if you do some sort of activity that involves teams, that you mix the sides of the family up a little bit or it will not help the 'us vs. them' thing and you never know, there might be an incident, and then everyone will be glaring at eachother at the wedding, etc.

How soon is this? If you have nice weather you could follow whatever you do up with a BBQ or something; if you need it to be indoors, try a BBQ retaurant. (Men palying sports like lots of meat and fire, is what I've learned.)

I'm the only one with money in my family.
i've have noting to bribe him for.

It looks like the exotic dancer is a must - no matter the age.

Alcohol is the other 'must have', add some music a few munchies and whola a bachelor party!

I disagree that you have to have a stripper, he and his buddies and anyone else up for that can always hit a strip club later on if you do something more PG rated during the day. You don't owe him a naked lady.

haha I OWE ME a naked lady before I owe him one :D

not at a club
and I don't have a place to throw a party, so I'll need ato rent a hall if lots of people.

doubt a hall will let me have one

I've been to a lot of bachelor parties and have the following observations.

1) Trying to get the prospective groom hammered and laid by anybody other than his fiance is the sign of being an asshole, not a friend. You try to put pressure on me to "conform" and "be a sport" by drinking, and we WILL have a problem. Likewise with the stripper. I can find my own if I wish.

2) You can have a stripper, but its not mandatory. Given the age range you are looking at, its probably a bad idea.

3) The point of a bachelor party is hanging out with the guys for one last time. As long as what you are doing is a "guy" thing, it should be fine.

Can't you go to clubs if 18 there either?

I, too, have been to many bachelor parties, including some very good ones. My observations:

1) What you are describing is a disaster, not a bachelor party.

2) If you can, ditch the relatives. Just you, your brother, his three friends is fine. Remember the basics:

-- Massive amounts of alchohol
-- Professional naked women
-- Absolute code of silence afterwards
-- Never listen to women about bachelor parties, never take their advice on these parties, lie to women about what you did at bachelor parties.

3) If two above doesn't work, you're fucked, no way a real bachelor party works with mostly relatives in that age range. Take them out to a bar somewhere, everyone buys a couple beers and stares at each other, and you close it down by nine so everyone can go home knowing they did their duty.
