Bacardi Silver, Smirinoff Ice, and Mikes Hard Lemonade?

I just picked up a six pack of Bacardi Silver. It's a citrus malt beverage designed to be in direct competition with Smirinoff Ice.

Smirinoff Ice has been compared to Mikes Hard Lemonade, except its smoother - it doesn't have as much back bite to it.

Bacardi Silver is almost too sweet. I actually think I prefer Smirinoff.

What do you think?

Depending on your tastes ... Might I recommend... Captain Morgan’s Spiced Rum & 7 up. Tastes like a cream soda.

I think anyone who drinks a malt beverage that isn't a form of beer is a pussy.

Here's an idea. Make a 2 quart pitcher of lemonade. Add 1/4 cup of Everclear. Mix. Drink. Better than that swill you're paying 6 or 7 bucks you're paying to drink.

And no bite either.

I like both Mike's and Smirnoff Ice. I don't think they're at all similar though and it depends on my mood as to what I want to drink. I have a 6 pack of each in my fridge right now.

What made me try the Bacardi? Because it looked like Smirinoff, and I asked one of the employee's at the local liquor store how it compared. He said it was better. *shrug* It taste like...

Depending on your tastes ... Might I recommend... Captain Morgan’s Spiced Rum & 7 up. Tastes like a cream soda.

...7up or Sprite, which makes me wonder what it would taste like with a shot of Bacardi Black in it.

If I'm going to drink a rum, I'll drink Bacardi Black. I *really* want to get my hands on some vintage rum... try something a bit expensive and different - but I haven't yet.

Smirnoff is much better then Silver... at least you can tell Smirnoff is an alcoholic beverage - this stuff tastes like a soft drink.

As an ex bartender...I took it upon myself more then one time to try just about everything.

I only suggested the Captain Morgans because there isn't anything else like it. No other rum tastes like it. It awesome with coke. But the 7 gives it a new meaning. Its the kind of thing you can drink and not have a bite to it.

Everclear is simply flavorless pure alcohol. It has none of the strange nutty hoppy flavor that you find in the sweet lemonade malt products mentioned.

Malternatives are for women and men that never learned to drink beer. Look at the number of female devotees in this thread.

Everclear (180 proof) is not for pussys. It's just alcohol. Anyone that drinks it straight is a fool.

I don't know. I've tried Morgan, Morgan's Private Stock, Parrot Bay, Bacardi Dark, Bacardi Light, Bacardi Spice and Bacardi Black...

I like Captain Morgan's Private Stock, but not their regular spiced rum... It's just too middle of the road. Bacardi Spiced is *sweet* and tart... a very nice combination, but not something I want to drink all the time.

Bacardi Black, however, is spicy and bolder then Morgan or Private Stock... which is why that is my favorite rum. Its more expensive, but I think that if you are going to screw up your body, you might as well do it with something you enjoy.

Everclear is more what Younger people drink to get drunk faster, in MY opinion. Hell it worked when I was 17. We always mixed it with kool-air though

Beer is terrible, however I do drink it. Doesn't mean you are a woman or a pussy IF you don't drink it. There's a reason WHY they make so many "pussy" drinks, becasue peole LIKE them! Hell, I even drink those "pussy" wine coolers, and JD flavored drinks, some of them have some "punch" to them.
