Have any of you heard of this place in NYC? They are a bakery that specialise in allergen free cakes, biscuits (sorry, cookies) and icing (sorry again, frosting). They've just released a cookbook, but it's not available in the UK :(

If anyone gets it can they give me a yell and let me know what it's like and how well the recipes work and what the food's like etc?

Totally not your subject, but 'babycakes', silver dollar sized pancakes I used to make for my kids when they were young. Kinda made breakfast fun.

Haven't tried them, but have heard they are very good.

Here's a link to a magazine feature that included their recipes for brownie bites, raspberry scones and cinnamon-banana bread. If you can't open it for some reason (I know there are glitches with some pages outside their nation of origin), let me know and I'll cut and paste them into a PM for you.

Double thank you to Nero. Your post prompted me to google Erin McKenna and I found the original article that turned me onto her, plus three more recipes.

Fascinating stuff. I must try these out...

If you're looking for gluten alternatives, have you tried coconut flour? I'm a coconut fan and so I bought the flour, and only after I did found that it's main purpose is to make gluten-free baked goods. There are many recipes on the internet on how to use coconut flour instead of regular flour to make all kinds of baked goods, including ones that are also non-dairy.
