I don't know about baby oil. Hope someone will respond on that one.
We have however, used olive oil for years, after a massage therapist recommended it, in a round-about way. No problems or ill effects that we've noticed yet. We buy "store-bought" lubes from time to time, but still seem to like the olive oil best of all.
