Good for you! It's always nice to be recognized for hard work and dedication.

In my profession, we dont get awards. Our rewards come from seeing someone who was hurt really bad, get home to their families. That keeps us going.

The only awards I have received have been for not missing a day of working my butt off. lol. I went three years without missing a day but I am lucky in that I rarely get sick.

I'm glad if they notice me. Besides I really don't think any job is done with a award in mind.
HKBJ, you should be Very Proud of yourself for doing your job selflessly. Most people only do something special for the "what do I get out of it" area. You did something either because you like your job or you can do it well, making your customers or your employer happy.

Keep up the good work man. Don't let anyone tell you that your job is meaningless; they'll say that because you're doing better. Never let someone elses' jealousy get you down man!
