av = Avatar. it's a little picture that you put under your name.

You can't have one until you reach 100 posts.

You need 100 posts. Then Your Profile page will allow you to add an av.

You get a AV when you reach 100 posts, you still have a little way to go before you can have one. Do a search on AV's or go to the how to board. Oh and welcome.
