Does any know how to get to the next line in wordperfect 8 without hitting return? Other than spacing over to the end?

I use MS Word 9.0; they're probably similar.

When i'm bothered by hard breaks, i do this:
1. Add a BUNCH of empty lines to the end of where i'm writing.
2. Add words where words are needed.
3. Use my direction keys, the ones with little arrows, when i want to move down a line or two.

Presto! No hard breaks at the ends of words.

Nope, you're just adding the hard breaks before you add the words. (In MS WORD, turn the show hidden characters function and you'll see what I mean.)

I'm not quite sure why you would want to force a word wrap when any editing or reformatting will cause the block of spaces to be forced into the middle of a line.

I don't know WP at all, but you might try <SHIFT>-<ENTER> which is a manual line break in Word 97. Another alternative is to change the left margin for that one line which is simply a matter of dragging the margin to where you want it in Word.

I think ctrl/enter starts a new page with me.. ctrl/shift/L seems to work, but the guy that wants the file didn't sound happy about doing that.
