I have an idea for an alternate Marvel Universe where the Avengers have not assembled yet. Tony Stark fathered Project Oversight and programmed an advanced AI named Ultron to oversee a network of security drones. However, HYDRA sabotages the project and removes Ultron's parameters, allowing him to become self aware. Taking upon himself to help humanity evolve into more advanced forms, Ultron tampers with a Bruce Banner's work and releases a modified Super Soldier formula as a virus that turns normal people and animals into Mutants. The Avengers are the heroes that come together to restore order in a world gone mad. Anyone interested?
