They influence the way I view your posts.
I hear laughter in Boxstar and Starfish's voice.
PC has gained a slight sneer.
Nicole a tenderness.
Laurel has lost a bit of her edge.
lavender flickers, from av to av, if you can't pick your face then what other indecision might I hear?
Bob Peale sounds strong and masculine.
When Myst and Angel wore similar avs their words and thoughts echoed one another, now they do not

These are only a few, but it's the same for everyone..
The moral: Your av is a face, it is a voice, it is a personality. Pick it wisely.

The Edit: to correct The Mistake

I appreciate the compliment Never. I just burst out laughing every time I look at my goofy av. I laugh even more when I see the Dancing Ms. Lippy.

Just one little thing though.......its Boxstar..not Boxcar.

So what does MY avatar say to you, oh Wondrous Never of Wisdom?

Harold,
To me it says..... Dirty old man. ;)

Box Car, train a riding.... you got that hobo laugh a flying
Box Star, shiny and cubic..... who knew you'd white dwarf this Public.

You shine, you shine.

Put your Star in mine. :)

It took me a while to find an av that I liked but I think I'm sticking with this one.

For you sweet Never there is always a tenderness in my heart and voice, I could be nothing BUT tender to you :)

I'm glad you like my Avatar, it's very much the inner me.

I agree with you, when I see someone's Avatar, I see them, or the person they are trying to be.

i need to find one :) ... its a good suggestion to use a real one you ... but most people here havent so i highly doubt i would

Very eloquently put Neverlove. And why I have no av. My voice is my own and if you have Realplayer ya'll know what it's like. I don't choose to see avs because I don't let an impression for a non-essential picture give a voice to the words that are written. The only voice I have for ya'll comes from your words and only your words.

But I believe that actual pictures are unnecessary, because this is where words are traded. Avatars are only affectations, like hats, Texas sized belt buckles, and fucked up body piercings.

I Still Don't Even Know How To get One of These Damn Thingz...

Not that anybody reads my Posts anywayz...All together now...Waaaaaaaaah;)

I'm a little confused here! Never says the avatar is your face, Nicole says it is the inner me. All I see is a cute butt.:p

Yay or nay

I've been debating whether to post my true photo (which is identical to this one, except in color and it is ME in the raw) or stick with my av.
Here's one vote for the real deal!;)

I know what I want, but how to?

I've been waiting for just the right avatar. I've finally thought of just what I want. Now I have to acquire it and put it.

I like avatars because I can scroll down a thread and briefly tell who has posted there. I think avs speak not so much of what the person IS like as what they like. In general, I've been really impressed with all these great images.

So mines no good?

Damn I give up

And here I just changed my real pic. I figured I must have bored you enough with it. Besides, I'm still on the hunt for one. Im like that with pocketbooks though...never happy with the one I have, I need to keep going to get a new one. LOL

This AV was drawn for me from someone I talk with online. He said this is how he views what I look like, by me just describing what I look like (before I sent a pic).
I was impressed! Still am! The pic looks alot like me. I should have him send me one with no dickie in the pic :)
