Avatar Question

How do I setup an avatar? The option is always selected to not have one.

Another great pile of information and excellent threads to read can be found in The Blank Manual. It's a ''sticky'' at the top of ''The How To" forum page. Blue Sugar put it together, it was and is a massive undertaking - just great stuff there. Of course it isn't meant to discourage questions or discussions, there's never a place for all answers.

Work-Around

You can't put up an avatar until you have 100 posts, but you can (I just learned) put a picture in your signature line. Which amounts to just about the same thing.....Carney

News Flash, I have my 100th post. Need direction, and in my case keep it simple. I really would like to pick out a AV. Please anyone give me some diretion, am sitting here with bated breath.

First you need to find an image you want to use as your avatar.

If you use an image hosting site such as photobucket, upload it there.

Copy the URL for the image and surround it by the [ IMG ] [ /IMG ] tags, without the extra spaces inside the brackets.

If you don't want to try and figure out how to make your own pic small enough to upload as an avatar... there are a number of sites that have free ones you can use...

I just wanted to say that I turned the View Avatar option on about a week ago, and I don't know if I can handle it. Some of these avatars... well, they make it impossible to think straight. Anyone seen SK's new one? And SweetErika's makes my cheeks all rosy. I better turn them back off before I become speechless.

Yeah, the signature option is a lot easier. That's what I did.

That's my art in the siggy, btw. (clawhammer is my fave username)
