Avatar head explosion

I'd like to add an avatar, but every time I try, I get "invalid file"

I can't find any information about what files are valid in the FAQs.

I've tried searching the site, but for some reason, searching the word avatar stumps the search engine, and nothing loads. Even if I wait long enough to be timed out and have to log back in.

Does this happen a lot? What am I supposed to do?

Well it looks as though you solved the problem...you do have an avatar.

Avatars need to be 150 pixels by 150 pixels and less than 30Kbytes in size.

The picture format must be either a .jpg or .gif.

Yeah, thanks. I managed to sort it out. I don't think it's possible to load one from a URL though. Odd as that seems.

Yep, it is...the avatar I now have is from my website.
