Sub Joe said:So, what's your opinion of 2nd person present tense vs imperfect omnicient, Krak?
Answering for Mr. Krak, I feel the variance of the two can, depending on the author/writer, be extremely similar or vastly different. If you have someone else telling the story the way they saw it for a cast of characters, you end up with a bias retelling of the story from an outside party. As we see in The Great Gatsby.
If you have imperfect omniscient, internalized thoughts may be seen through only one person, while normal events displayed for the remaining characters, but instead of receiving your information secondhand, it comes directly from the main character, or protagonist if you will, along with a clearer telling of the story as it takes or took place. As in A Clean, Well Lighted Place.
So...what? Do I win? Where's my gold star, damnit. I didn't take English 2 over the summer to accumulate GEs for nothin'.
Eh, I probably messed it. I haven't slept in over 35 hours.
I'm such the insomniac.
He's so freaking cute that I can't help but poke him, hoping he'll chase me ....
