Hi emerald!
I'm new to Lit, trying to get my foot in the door. I have a story which I'd love you to read and comment on. Like you, I'm very competent with the mechanics of writing, (I did check out your story -- nice!) so I think a full nuts 'n bolts edit would be overkill. What would be helpful for me is a woman's take on it, since I'm a guy writing from a chick's POV in the 1st person.

Michael is a black 45ish successful scriptwriter comes to BC to get out of LA and write.
His wife is thirtyish, beautiful "mahogany to Michael's ebony"
They have a four yo boy and hire Gail, 28, green eyed redhead as live in Nanny.
A sort of triangular relationship ensues.
