Firsties.

As usual, I'm always looking to expand my stomach, so I spend extra time-per-day sitting in front of the computer, snacking away while paruzing Literotica.

I welcome all genre of story for editing, and since I use OpenOffice to edit, I can accept .doc along with any other format, though without Word's (seemingly) famous "Track Changes", you can't pick out each and every comma unless you look for all the red ink.

I'm both nit-picky about having perfect grammar and making sure the flow of a story... umm... flows.

My personal style of writing is to keep all my characters for repeat performances and individually long stories, so have no fear about coming to me with your 50k word epics just the same as your 50 words 15 times projects.

All that I ask is that you bring your game face. I have no personal adjenda of making you feel bad, so don't take my critisism personally.

And please make special mention of what stage of editing the story is at. Have you just finished writing it, have you edited it yourself, or have you just gotten it back from another editor?

I'm suddenly no longer available. I have been putting myself out there because I felt I owed my help to this community that was shorthanded and in need of editors. But now that Snooper has professed his belief that writers can find editors, then I will return my focus to writing.

Snooper is too good a person to say it, so I will - I was throwing a bit of a tantrum.

I will edit, but add only if a writer is having difficulty in finding an editor. Make attempts first, please. This would be appreciated, as there are other capable people out there. But there have been writers who had long stories or write in cats that they could not find help for, and I'll handle these on a case-by-case basis.

I'm free to help, but a caveat to that. I don't edit stories with extreme violence toward anyone. You can contact me through PM. I have worked professionally as an editor for a decade, although my subject matter is quite esoteric. I do NOT do quck turnarounds. For a 1,000 word story I need a week. The longer the story, the longer period I need.

ETA: My long term editing availability is now limited. Several posters here have sent me messages asking me for help, my dance card is now full Will post again once I am free, although one person here has about a year's worth of editing for me.
