Okay, this is my first time volunteering as an editor. (Please don't let that dissuade you.)

My strengths are in grammar, syntax, spelling, and punctuation (especially those darn semicolons; they can be real pains.)

If you ask me to edit something, I have a few rules:
1. At least a 1 week lead time. I'm just starting now, so I don't know what the sweet spot is yet. This lead time is for 2, TWO, Literotica length pages. It will increase at an as-yet-undetermined rate as more pages are added. I'm a fast reader, but editing is more difficult than reading.
2. Your request must be easy to read, cleanly formatted, in English, and preferably kept fairly short. (Two paragraphs should be sufficient for describing what you need, but if you need more than that, make sure to clearly separate the paragraphs. I just don't want to see a Great Wall of Text on my screen.)
3. I will NOT write a story for you. I may help you with ideas, but I won't do it for you.
4. I will edit Nonhuman and Scifi/Fantasy only. (No offense, but I just like those stories best.)

I'd be glad to edit stories in April. I don't mind which kind of story it is and I will correct any spelling and grammar mistakes I find whilst preserving the author's style as far as possible. Although I am English, I am familiar with American-style writing if that is required.

Hello. I am working on a story in the nonhuman genre. I expect the finished product to be a novel. I have just finished the first chapter. At sixteen pages long in Word, single spaced with an extra space between paragraphs, it is fairly long. I am looking for an editor that would like to collaborate with me on this.
