I don't know ( yet ) about anyone else here, but I love autumn!
It's the time of year all of my more romantic urges and actions seem to constantly spring forth. The depressing heat and humidity of summer is gone,,, the blahs of winter have not yet set in,,, and tax time is still a ways off.
I do believe that the cooler daytime air and crisp nights lend themselves to romance.
Walks in falling leaves with a sky so much clearer and so blue that it hurts to look up at it. The leaves crackling under foot every where you go and yielding a delightful earthy aroma. The gathering of the last flowers to bloom as well as the gathering of the harvest (symbolically) with apples and pumpkins.
Nights by a fireplace that still has it's novelity, with no thoughts or dread of the bringing in wood chore, nor how much the fuel (any) is costing,,, sipping a wine or mulled cider while basking in the light of the flames. Bon fires,,, with roasted marsh mellows, sparks rising and swirling to blend with the stars.
A shared evening meal over looking a lake sparkling with the reflection of a full moon or stars and resonding with the noises of migrating birds.
Weather cool enough to almost demand holding hands, cuddles, and snuggling without becoming too sticky from the weather,,, nor bored by the request once again as it tends to be in winter.
Yep, I do believe that autumn is the best time of year for romance. And those feel good feelings that result from romanace.
