This is a college game, about relationships, hanging out, getting drunk, falling in love and all of the things I miss about college. I am not sure it belongs in sexual role-playing, since my intent is not to set up some sort of student-teacher fuck fest, or simply to pair up, find a dorm room, and go at it like bunnies in heat. Sure, I love some passionate, emotional scenes of love making, in a story, but not at the expense of the story. It would be nice to have a few writers, rather than just writing with one other person, if possible. Still, the other role-playing thread seemed to be for more "traditional" role-playing, so I was not sure it would fit there.

Westhaven is a liberal arts college, NOT a university. That means that class sizes average about fifteen students. Most classes are taught by the actual professors, and not graduate assistants. There are not doctoral programs, and only a few masters programs, in such areas as education and business. The student body is not over two thousand students, all told. The campus is an old estate donated by a railroad tycoon. It is located directly along the Mainline leading out of Philadelphia's historic Center City, right out to the famous "Main Line" area. This area is one of the very richest in the country, with mansions, universities and colleges and interesting small town line shopping districts, nestled in amongst the estates. From Westhaven you can catch a train into Center City Philadelphia, to take in an art film at The Ritz, or take a trip to the world famous King Of Prussia Mall. While there, be sure to stop into your local Wawa Food Mart and order an Italian Hoagie with everything.

BEFORE you join, please either PM me, or say hello in this OCC thread, before you start posting in the story thread. Please post a character picture, provide a good physical description of your character, and tell us a bit about their background, as a part of your opening narrative, IN THE STORY THREAD. If you wonder how to do this, read my first post again as an example. You should ALSO post a brief description of your character in this OCC thread, to make life easy for newcomers. It should have the following format.

Picture:
Name: (Full Name)
Nicknames: (if any)

We will learn about you during your introductory post [if you read the instructions above] and learn more about you during the game, but half of what college was about was meeting new people and discovering who they were)

That is all. I look forward to writing with you.

Name: Adam Parrish
Nicknames: None current
Age: 21
Year in School: Exchange Student from England
Major Area of Study: Liberal Arts / Humanities
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Political Leanings: Liberal left (by American standards very liberal)
Religious Leanings: Atheist

Appearance:
A fraction over 6' tall, broad shouldered, athletic. Dress style is simple and timeless - t-shirts, black jeans. Doesn't fuss over his appearance.

Immediate Family:
Mother - Amanda, (45),
Father - Matthew, (48) both teachers
Two sisters (Katie, 18 – travelling the world on a gap year; and Jo, 16, – at school).

Hobbies:
‘Work hard, play hard’ is Adam’s motto. He throws himself headlong into everything he does – study, sports, socialising. He’s determined not to waste a second of his exchange programme. His favourite sports are fencing and soccer, although he also enjoys jogging and trying (unsuccessfully) to learn basketball from scratch. He also enjoys film, theatre, and cinema, and music. If there’s anything interesting, stimulating, or entertaining going on, he’ll do his utmost to be there. As a result, he’s horribly over-committed, badly organised, and forever rushing around trying to remember where he’s supposed to be, and how to get there.

Background:
Brought up in a commuter town in the south east of England to a solidly middle class family, Adam was fortunate enough to grow up in a stable and secure environment. His parents, being teachers, always pushed him and his sisters intellectually, and it was no surprise when he decided to go to university after a year out to go travelling. He thrived in the university environment, but not everything when according to plan, and it was not just the search of a new challenge that motivated him to apply for the exchange programme for his second year.

Sorry in advance if I was supposed to PM first, but Painta begged me to throw my hat in here. Let me know if my character concept is acceptable, I definitely won't post anything without permission ;)

That last picture is very tempting buttttt.......

Picture: http://regulus2.azstarnet.com/blogs/images/8111.jpg
Name: Huey Terrell Jacobs
Nicknames: None he wants brought to college
Age: 18
Year In School: Freshman
Major Area Of Study: (if any) Undeclared, but leaning towards History
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Political Leanings: Fairly liberal, with a healthy dose of Black Nationalism thrown in, conservative on some social issues.
Religious Leanings: Raised protestant, but not strictly
Appearance: Favors hooded sweatshirts and well tailored jeans. Sneakers are his fashion obsession.
Immediate Family: Mother Rita Riley age 50, Father Jerry 49 and one sister Loquashia age 25
Hobbies: Huey loves music, a hobby he persues through DJing whenever he can get work or running a late night show on the local station that caters to the university. He is a film buff as well and enjoys a pickup game of football or basketball whenever possible.
Background: Huey grew up in the poorer parts of Philadelphia, his mom was an old revolutionary, a panther back in the hayday, his dad led a less exciting life, a barber shop owner, he still had his fair share of stories to tell Huey growing up. The two of them were the best parents they could be and instilled Huey with a drive to be successful and a respect for his roots. When the chance came to attend a prestigious university like Westhaven Huey jumped at it. Though he does occasionally feel a bit like a fish out of water he's proud of what he's accomplished for himself.

I like who you chose Mr. Adam! very yummy.

and I'm glad i could get you to hop in gagonthis!

I like the picture Adam. He looks... deep and pensive, like he is wrestling with some sort of emotional decision, and would cry on your shoulder.

Not worry Gagonthis. I do not require a PM. Just popping in on the OCC is fine. I am glad you are joining us. :) We need some men anyway.

As to who Johnny Vega is... I have never heard of him, but upon investigation realized that I had seen him in Tipping The Velvet. I did a google for "Handsome Rugby Players" and he popped up. I am sure he is a dear fellow, but that picture a hoot.

Rabbit and I were posting our characters at dusk. Everyone else is writing about the morning. I have decided to move on to the next morning, with my character. (Sorry Rabbit, but we will meet up again, I am sure.) I am going to assume that everything we posted happened in the past, and that the morning is the present.

I am tired, and I am following my character to bed. In the morning, I will post her morning. Thank you all for joining, and putting such thought into your posts. :) This will be, I believe, a fun thread.

Sounds good to me. You're a quick one! I will get something out when i've had a bit more rest myself.

I'll post like Micah is starting a new day then?

:rose:

I was off work yesterday, and bored. Normally I do not post so fast, becuase normally I am gone from the hose for ten hours. My internet is acting weird folks. I will try to post later. My phone works, but I am NOT using the crappy little thumb pad to post.

:rose:

I think Micah, Adam, and Huey are 'today', and that Gina and Nora's posts so far were 'yesterday'.... I think.

I think we've just been lapped, so they've gone back a day so we don't have to catch up. Is that right?

Okay...so i'm just going to fast forward through her day then, and post the next day? lol. I'll figure something out haha.

Yeah I was just going to play like I had posted for the next day, especially since I hadn't even gotten him through the morning yet.

OK, I officially declare that it is Friday morning and that Halloween is in one week. The events between Gina and Nora are at some point in the past. By the way, I am using my phone because my internet is acting wonky. I keep losing the signal. I will still post, but will not have a spellchecker, nor pictures.

okay, so they are alittle deeper into school, halloween is coming up and yeah okay.I can work with that. haha.

I'm easily confused.

Yup, the problem is I just started posting. I never stated a date, or time, or anything.

I just got home. We went out on a date. (Wow, it was not even the weekend. Odd, but fun.) I love what you all are writing, but I am having a lot of trouble keeping up. I work a lot of really long hours, with a few days off per week. I am going to give in a few days, but I know I work all day tomorrow, from 9 AM to 8 PM and Sat from 8 AM to 7 PM. If I can not keep up, even if I started this thing, I am going to have to stop. Ah, I just realized how many sentences I started with "I". Well, what does that say. (Self-Centered Bitch! No, not Moi...)

Anyway, we shall see. I am enjoying my thread with Rabbit. Maybe that is what I should do. Individual threads would not require me to be quick, and I would only have to catch up on one post per thread. Even if I was in four or five of them, it would not be so bad. It would suck though, because I really am enjoying this, but I am realizing how busy I am. I was out of writing with others for awhile, and was just writing to amuse myself. I had forgotten the time that was required to keep up.
