Thank you!!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING ALL!!!

Hope everyone has lot's of fun, eats too much, and doesn't have to clean a thing!

One thing I am thankful for:

This site, and these boards, and friends that don't think sex is a four letter word. :)

Woo woo woo. MG Ps. Svenska, Love your new sheep AV.

If you guys are going to start spinning that old shaggy sheepdog yarn again ...

Start a new thread!

Cookie,

Like mum said, we don't do that here. (She'll use any excuse for a drink)

Don't do pagan rituals either (unless you count Christmas, New Year, Easter*, Bonfire night, Whitsun etc.)

Thanks anyway for everyone's well wishing. Why can't we just wish everyone well when we feel like it?

3rd of June Happy Non-Holiday. (Must put that one in the diary)

Gauche

*Not being anti-anything but as far as I know most Christian holidays are hijacks of existing pagan rituals

Edited to add: Thanks mtn.;)

Sometime ago, my youngest brother began the tradition of christening our turkeys before putting them in the oven. The first was Bill, after Clinton, but not the year of Monica, don't recall what the offence was then. Of course we had a Dubya, and then some personal names.

My sons are making today's dinner and I don't yet know what name they'll choose. I'm voting for Rumsy. I think it probably has to be a U.S. citizen's name otherwise I'd suggest Tony also.

Perdita :D

p.s. Gauche is right (again). The most revered religious icon in Mexico is La Virgen de Guadalupe, but her miraculous appearance to an Indio peasant occured very coincidentally and coveniently on the site of the Aztec goddess mother-earth, Tonantzin. It helped Christian conversions immeasureably. She's part of a Mexican's identity now, mine too, despite knowing the history.

Chippendales... lördag... ljus... tända... äsch, jag orkar inte formulera en snuskig mening!

FYI (see my post above), the turkey's in the oven. His name is Arnold.

Perdita & sons :)

I laughed until I cried when I watched Jay Leno yesterday, and he had an impersonator dress up as Arnold and answer Leno's questions.

Leno: Was [the speech you held when you were elected into office] the most difficult speech you've ever held?
Arnold: No, de most diffkult speech I ever held vas ven Marrrrria read the aaaarticle about me grooping ozzer wimin!

Happy Thanksgiving to one and all! :D

Even if you don't celebrate it, like me. I'll be breaking open the Bacardi soon and toasting you all.

Lou
