Two small problems.

1 The telephone number quoted (+44 567874) is incomplete as it lacks an area code.

2 I don't believe it is reasonable (let alone fair) to blame a name registration service for the misuse of a name it has registered. The only place to bombard with emails is support@cashtemptation.com who seems to be the owner of the name. Forwarding all those huge spam emails everybody gets to there might be annoying to the owner. However, more likely is that you will simply be put on a mailing list of valid email addresses and sold to all those lovely people who give away free holidays in Florida, sell Doctorates, enlarge your penis, or show you pictures of impossibly obscene acts.

Sending a lot of spam email is not the answer. In fact, the person you are spamming could complain to your own isp and likely get YOUR isp account canceled because of spamming.

Go after the webmaster. Give the webmaster 48 hours to remove your story. Then go after the isp that his website runs off of. Forward a copy of your complaint concerning the webmaster not removing your copyrighted story. Make mention that you will be forced to pursue legal action including collection of damages and expenses if the copyright violation is not removed within a reasonable amount of time.

I appreciate both your replies, however, we've been there and done all of that already.

(This has been going on for more than a week - Laurel has all the information - we've all been working on the problem)

Emails to the author come back as undeliverable, as do emails to the webmaster. Pookie - that is wonderful info, and sounds just like one of the many emails I fired off - but it never reached a real person. We couldn't FIND the place to complain.

Now we have ownership of the site - or at least someone who can find someone - and as Laurel PM'd me last evening - she has finally able to communicate with them.

With more than 50 stories plagiarized from Lit authors (they took 2 of mine, 4 from Moxon4, 4 from Anal Slave, etc), repeated pleas to remove our stories ignored (We posted reviews under each story on that site specifically stating they were stolen since we got no response from any email address) I quite frankly don't give a shit about stepping on anyone's toes right now.

(Un-reg, you know how much I would ADORE to receive pics about obscene acts - lol - but I think I'll play this all the way through)

Thanks all - I PM'd each author since many do not post on the boards - we've tried hard to keep everyone in the loop.

Story theft is not something to take lightly -

As an update of sorts, I wrote to cashtemptations (cashtemptations is the registrant or the owner of record when the website was created) last night and got a reply back this morning. He wanted me to specify which of the stories were mine and they would talk to the owner of the site and have them removed.

lo and behold, I went to the site and all the stories that were stolen from Literotica *seem* to have been removed. You might want to check this list yourselves.

I'm not sure who posted all the comments against the stolen stories on the strap on website, but good going. Between that and the letters we sent, I think it did the trick.

I think those comments certainly helped! (The initial comments on the site about removing our stolen stories were from me, then various authors added more to the mix).

Laurel did PM me late yesterday that the site promised her they'd remove all the stories (they hadn't as of early this morning).

But yes!!! They're gone now - and would you believe it? Umma doesn't have ANY stories to her name!!!

Yea to deliciously_naughty, who brought this to everyone's attention, and thanks to Laurel for her hard work and everyone else who fought for us!!! I think we all kicked ass!!! :D

and thank you sarah for your efforts above and beyond what any of us would have asked or expected you to do. Great job on keeping us all up to date and on track

I think that the website owners details are well buried. The name Alexandre Romanov is (somewhat coincidentally) the name of the last Tsar of Russia's son.

Searching Directory enquiries I found only one London listing for Romanov A, so I rang asking for "Euromedia" no luck and the number bore no resemblence to those contact numbers given - a London number (dialled within the UK) should have eleven numbers. The first three of which are the 020 London prefix.

Dialing London from outside the UK would be 4420 plus another 8 numbers.

Sorry this mail is not a lot of help.
