themes: winter holiday traditions (dreidels, gift giving, etc.), cold weather (snow), holiday mythology (Santa, elves), etc.
starts: November 10
closes: December 7
winners announced: December 14

For those of us who are not frantically writing for NaNoWriMo, and even for those who are who can write a winter holiday story or stories as part of their 50,000 words, please start writing your winter holiday contest entries NOW.

As usual it is likely to be a bumpy ride with trolls and encouraging feedback but it is worth it for the extra exposure your work will attract.

And then there is always the chance of winning the parallel and coveted? Author's Hangout Last Place (tm) Contest.

I've always liked the Halloween contest best and have entered once since membership, though I think I have an idea for this Winter Holiday contest that can be wrapping paper and bow fodder for the trolls.

I had a lot of fun last year during the Holiday Contest, and I Believe remains one of my most popular stories. Even though the only benefit I'd get out of the contest is quicker post time, that's enough of a reason to enter.

I have a question. Can you have multiple chapters in an entry and is there a max on how long your entry should be? Cause I already have severa ideas, but I tend to write novels lol, but I can try doing the short story thing.
