Once a story is submitted it is in pending status. During this time (often painfully long, lol) the submitter (author) can access it and go back into Preview mode or Delete it. From Preview mode it can be changed, altered, call it what you will, and re-submitted.

Now I don't know if you have to "remove your story from its place in line" or not when you resubmit. But it's better fixing things before they are posted rather than waiting and submitting an EDITED version, in my mind anyway.

That is true but every time you resubmit, you go to the end of the line. Just so you know . . .
