I came across the above yesterday when trying to find something else. I do most Lit-related work on my phone, but this was on my PC.

It’s to help me keep track of everyone in You Spin Me Round. While based on an amalgam of two actual events (with some made-up passages inserted), I still needed some help as there are a lot of people involved.

Do you ever draw diagrams like this for your stories?

Nope. Although I do keep a separate file/reminder for both long series I am writing. In my fantasy series I've created 5 different countries, several towns and villages and many episode characters and some of them will be used again sooner or later. There is no way I'll remember all of that, so rather than searching through each chapter for something I've maybe forgotten, I just write a short reminder in that separate file for any new country, city, village, character, metal with special properties, or specific type of magic I create.

It’s kinda the same as positions around a gang bang turntable 🤭.

Frickin Jeff!

No diagrams yet but I planned out the layout of a dorm and plotted what rooms the students lived in so I'd know who was roommates with who in New RA at the Girls' Dorm.

No diagrams, but I helped another writer plot out an 8M-2F gangbang story using Excel. The LH column had all the names, and each subsequent column had who was doing what to who. It was the only way to keep things in order.
Oh, and for my current story, I sketched a three story building made out of old sea 40' containers. Just because...

And just for you Em, a Venn diagram. :)

I don't use a spinning wheel, but since I have a series involving the same main character, I do have some notes about who he is, where he lives, and what he does. In a couple stories with a complicated location, I drew a map so I could keep track of what was where.

I drew a complicated diagram to help me get through this reversible daisy-chain from Alison Goes to London:

Then they rearranged themselves into a circle, Harriet sitting on Rob's face while Claire sucked his cock, Alison eating Claire's pussy from behind, Bradley licking out Alison's now-gaping asshole while face-fucking Eva, and Harriet smoking while eating Eva's cunt -- blowing clouds of white smoke into her crotch so that her pussy looked as if it was on fire. Then they all turned round: Rob rammed his big black cock deep into Harriet's smoky mouth as he slurped on Claire's wet cunt, Claire slid her fist into Alison's slimy asshole while chewing on her clit, Alison sucked Bradley's balls while stroking his small stiff cock, and Bradley slurped ravenously on Eva's juicy cunt as she in turn ate out Harriet.

And then the doorbell rang.

And then I gave up... ;)

Group sex is complicated to write. Even when relying on memory.

I've ended up looking at porn just to figure out what bits of B can be seen by A, when C and D are doing things to them...

Honest.

Also, I'm never again writing a sex scene with four people of the same sex where two of them are unnamed. They can damn well ask for names next time!

I've ended up writing calendars when weeks or days passing is relevant. Panicked once when I thought I'd messed up with a character being 12 weeks pregnant, 10 weeks after sex - before remembering that pregnancy dating assumed you're two weeks before you start...

And sketching the entire layout of a building converted to apartments - if A lives in flat 5 on the first floor and overlooks the back at one side, what flat number will the mirror-image apartment three floors up have? Yeah, I'm sure no-one else cares.

I’ve written some third person lesbian stuff. The main challenge is being clear who “her” refers to. First person is so much simpler.

405?

I write about an old-style downtown hotel where the new owners have converted one of the residential apartments into a sex chamber, Suite 509. I sort of keep the floor plans in my head, and haven't felt the need to draw them out. The characters have determined that when they suspect things are going to get particularly rowdy, management pays a courtesy call to the guests in Suites 619 and 620 (above), and Rooms 423 through 426 (below) to alert them. No concerns about next door, as 509 is at the end of the wing, and the girl who lives in 507 is one of the rowdies.

Last time "the boss" did this, the couple in 619 stripped off in front of him, inviting him to play. He politely declined, as "they" were waiting for him downstairs.

No, 17. Ground floor got mostly turned into the underground car park and gym, then flats 1-6 are first floor, 7-12 second, 13-18 third. Top floor is 19 and 20 and various water tanks and the like.

First floor has a nice big atrium with metal tree sculptures reaching up nearly to glass skylights; the upper floors are just balconies going round. Some of the doors on the first floor have trees in pots by them, or a pedal car neatly parked. The building used to be a bingo hall.

MMC worked on the conversion plans, ensuring not only fire safety but also excellent sound insulation.

I just did this for a body swap story I'm working on.

I had to have some way to visualize what was going on to keep it all straight.
