How many authors have their own webpages/sites other than Lit's pages? What do you put on those websites?

Heh...I have about four fan fiction/artwork sites, the oldest of them dating back to 1995. I shudder to think how many hours of my life have gone into creating those sites and the stories on them. What I have posted on Lit is a tiny fraction of my total output; most of my work has been specialized to one particular fandom or another. But it was good practice--at least that's what I keep telling myself. ;-)

I confine the site content to my own work--I don't run any archives--and I do all the HTML and Photoshop design. Every so often I completely revamp the look of the most active site. It's a fun hobby, though it ties into my profession. The best part is being able to update my posted stories at my whim. If I spot a typo or an infelicitous expression, out it goes.

i have one*s* it has pics and stories and a guestbook and even a little chat facility.:D

my husband designed it and runs it*s*

I have one, and it's mainly a presentation of my many interests - quilting, dolls (computer graphic, like the ones I use for AV's every now and then), miniatures, Feng Shui, graphics, feminism, antiracism, litterature... and, of course, a tribute page to my beloved Harry Potter.

I have 2 other sites, one is more of a family type site and one for my writing. I must admit I have been neglecting both for several months now due to health problems of my own and my daughters. Seems I've passed on my defective genes to my children. Anyway, the link to my writing one is in my profile and the in general one is Family Site ,if anyone wants to take a look. It has pictures of my family and husband's family, links to game sites I like and all sorts of things for kids to do and much more. It's so full of stuff that if a lot of people try to get in too soon that you'll probably get that, "unavailiable, try again later" message. If you do visit I hope you enjoy, it's nothing fancy but I've spent a lot of hours putting it together.

I have 2 others. One is simply a place where my pics and journal entries about my recent vacation to New Orleans and Houston are stored. The other contains stories I've written (not included on Lit) and pictures of me. I've encouraged others there to post their own stories/poems, and a couple have done so. As well, they have also posted pics (both erotic and non-erotic). There is a chat feature, but I am online so infrequently now that I don't get to it very often.

I do! And it includes:
1. Information about my novels and short stories.
2. An archive of my fanfiction (mostly Gargoyles, some Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, and assorted Disney).
3. A large fan-art gallery of pics people have sent me.
4. Game-related articles and materials.
5. The quarterly amateur 'zine my husband and I edit.
6. A brand-new discussion forum.
7. And all sorts of odds and ends ... vacation and convention diaries, informal pieces of writing, my daughter's artwork, a collection of Episode I Obi-Wan images, etc.

I have two sites that deal with writing.

One is for surfer's that are looking for stories, articles and such that are bdsm related.

The other is a business site (copy writing and content).

Writing is a wonderful way to make a living!

I've got one somewhere on yahoo along with a photo album, but I can't remember what password I used so I haven't attempted to go there for a while, I must stick with one bloody password instead of trying to be clever all the time.

Anyone else got memberships or pages they've forgotten the P/word to and can't get into them, or am I the only dim wit???

pops..............:)

Sable...love your site :)

My only "website" so to speak is my livejournal (and I have 2...my personal one and my sex related one)

And pops...yup...plenty of sites that I've forgotten passwords and such to.

No, you are not alone

I have a couple of pages that I rarely used.

I have forgotten so many passwords that I write them all down in a notebook but coded so that only I know how the password really is e.g. Cousin Joan's dog's name antonym. But I don't have a Cousin Joan. Those two words mean someone else. Follow that?

Then I lost the notebook for a couple of weeks. When I found it again, I had forgotten how to decode my code for the couple of rarely used pages.

Doh!

I have a website on a free hosting site for erotic story writers. I have all my stories posted there in a format that I like. I have my own feedback page setup as well. I can put whatever descriptions, codes, etc. with my stories that I desire. Basically, I'm in better control of my stories, and the information about myself that I display.

I have the same thing as Pookie_grrl at the same site.

I have an Authors page, a "New" page and then my library of stories. I post all of my stories on the site first and then on all of the other sites I post to (if allowed). Since I also write rape and underage stories, my webiste has more stories then I post on Literotica.

I originally started the site just so I could have a place to put my new story subscription list sign up form. It kinda grew from there a little. Then I left it for a while because I was having a bad life. I just re-did the whole site. I like it a lot better because it's cleaner now, a lot more elegant than that cheeze I had before.

I still got the mailing list. That's the most important thing, I think. Heh, and now it's double opt-in.

And as soon as we have finished reading OotP, and have discussed it with each other until we're exhausted... then comes the next big event: PoA - the movie! I've found the first trailer, and it's really exciting! I'll post a link to it when I get back home to my own computer...
