On Lit is it equivalent to writing a story for 'Loving Wives' in which the wife is unfaithful? I will know soon because I submitted Part 1 last night.

It may be suicide unless your unfaithful wife is caught in flagrante delicto and thrown out into the street, penniless and naked.

Frankly, pretty much anything seems to get bombed there - or so I gather from the cries of the wounded. We appear to have competing gangs of trolls, one determined to enforcing a strictly non-ironic interpretation of "loving," and the other the opposite. I've heard many tales of woe from authors of each variety.

Still, fortune favors the brave. I think it a mark of courage to post there at all.

That cat is defintely a catch-22. In your case, the quality of your writing should counteract all but the determined troll votes. Best of luck :)

I figure to become a better writer I should try new things, to expand my horizons. I can play it safe or I can branch out. I'm trying to give my wife a conscience but unfortunately extra marital affairs are a fact of life. You never know on Lit what will go over.

Cookie...

Loving wives seems to mean anything and everything... and the trolls enforce everything....

I for one always await your stories with baited breath.. hmmm is that like bad breath? or does baited breath come from eating worms and smelling like bait?

Colly ... from you that is high praise. :rose:

dream ... I'm not sure I like thinking of you with a mouthful of worms.

Lime ... I wrote this after a friend mentioned that her marriage was a mistake. I even used a comment of hers in the story. "As I walked down the aisle I knew I was making a mistake." It intrigued me and I just started writing.

One of mine was really 'Romance' between husband and wife.

It was bombed and the feedback was vituperative. (Before PCs).

Why not? I seem to always be opening a can of worms.. gotta do something with em.. since they won't all fit back in the can!!!

I had the audacity of putting a story about a cheating, unrepentful wife in the Romance category. Ah, the flames!

Lol...well I have been getting some crazy feedback by e-mail. I'm anxious to see what this story brings.

I've placed a couple in this catagory and the feedback, when I get any, has been mixed. Kind of funny reading the trolls for them though.
