You know what the saddest thing about this thread is?

There was only one joke to be made here and AJ put ALL of its energy into the thread title, which couldn't even carry the subject's actual contents.

Austin concealed his hospitalization. Basically he was AWOL. Accordingly the military is opening an investigation on it.

The findings of that investigation will be no harm no foul. It's politically preordained. But, had anyone else done as he did there'd be a courts martial at the end of that road.

I'm of the opinion that if Trump gets elected Austin will immediately resign his commission. If he does he should be reactivated and then courtsmartialed and, if found guilty of dereliction of duty, given a dishonorable discharge. It is what every other service member would get for the same act.
