I drove the kids to school this morning, as usual I had the radio on but this morning instead of music they were playing a tribute (for lack of a better word) to all those effected by last years 9/11 tragedy. I bawled all the way.

At 8:47am our time it was great to see the majority of people driving cars turn on their lights in memory of all those that lost their lives. I've been in and out today and its so nice to see all the cars driving with lights on.

I just wanted to let all of you from the US know that we do care, and in our own small way we are trying to show our sympathy.

We are all in mourning today.

Bindii,

Thank you so much for sharing this. I must say that I got goosebumps from reading this.

Thanks for that.

I'm guessing spring is arriving there. Is anything in bloom yet?

Thanks guys.....I just wanted to let you know that this has affected people all over the world. The tv channels have tributes all day instead of normal programs, as do the radio stations.

Yep Spring is here, the weather has been nice and the flowers are blooming. It just doesn't feel very 'springish' today though...

Thanks Bindii.

I'm so torn between wanting to remember, and wanting to ignore all the tv coverage.

A tear never forgets.....

I watched the Aussie, and NZ ceremonies, thankyou so very much for sharing our pain. The attack may have been in the US, but those killed came from every country on Earth. The World took a hit that day, and if our overseas cousins get attacked, you know we'll stand by you! We aren't going after those bastards for our own ends, we've got to stop them before they get Sydney, London, Paris, Berlin, Tokyo, Moscow, Tel Aviv, Manila, etc.....! Hopefully, this will be the last time we as a World will have to do this type of ceremony.

Again, a tear never forgets! :rose: :rose: :rose:

Bindii, thank you for the thoughts and the empathy. With all the controversy, even among ourselves recently, it is settling to know that there are others out there who can forget the politics to see the pain of other people.

Tomorrow, to me, will not be a celebration, a holiday, a call to war, a day to criticize nor a day to cry.

It will be a day to reflect. A day to understand that my life is good, even though I may suffer pain. My life is full because I, fortunately, have lost no friends or loved ones. My world is very much the same as it was a year ago, yet I know that so many will have had their world torn asunder.

I will try to think of them, as you have.

Thanks, Aussie.
