Customs Officials in Australia have just quarantined a prospective bridegrooms wedding tackle amid fears over foot- and - mouth disease.

Gareth Moore flew in from the UK to find out his "ysgrepan" (as it is known in Wales ) now faces radiation treatment before the nuptials may commence.

PS. an ysgrepan is part of the traditional Welsh regalia. Similar to its scottish counterpart the sporran, it is made of leather, welsh cob and goat hair.:)

I'm glad you translated, as I thought a groom's "wedding tackle" was equipment bestowed upon him at birth.

You know - his mighty MEATY tool. And I wondered how the resurgence of Foot and Mouth these last two weeks could affect the poor guy so badly that he needed radiation treatments.

And this whole time I thought boys were made of snips and snails and puppy dog tails not "leather, welsh cob and goat hair"!
:)
