Did you watch Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. I loved it but was sad also, wish that's how things had really panned out.

Yeah, I saw it. Would have been nice.

Read 2 or 3 books about Charlie and friends back in highschool when I thought being in a murderous hippie cult didn't seem so bad.
 
I've seen "foreboding" done on the screen in dozens of war, horror, and thriller films. I've never seen it done as effectively as Tarantino does when he shows the lighting of the neon signs at the onset of the night the murders happen in this film.

And I still can't put my finger on why I feel that way. Maybe it's because it's the perfect way to capture both the grandeur and fragility of Hollywood that evening?

Whatever it is, that 30 seconds might be my favorite bit he's ever done. And only an obsessive film geek could've come up with it.
