Ok I have wanted to do an audio story for quite awhile but i have no idea how to go about doing this. I have tried to find info on the net but haven't had much luck.
Does anyone know where I can find out the basics of how to do an audio story?
Thanks :)

I hope that helps! :)

If you need aprogram for recording with here is Pure Voice its a small tidy program, creates clear crisp audio. Its easy to use. It creates very small files compared to a wav recorder or a mp3 recorder. And a bonus Laurel and Manu can convert the files fairly easily

Thank you both. I am hoping to find a site that shows me how to make a WAV file or MP3. What do I need to have? I have a microphone. Just trying to figure out the rest! :)

Paul C had an interesting idea. He had longer-length audio - audio novels - he wanted to send, so he recorded it to a standard cassette tape and sent it to us via mail. He's sent me several novels, one of which has been posted in our Audio Novels section, as well as a tape of poetry. This may be a good idea for anyone who lacks the software to record audio and/or wants to record longer bits of audio. Once I receive it, I can rip it to audio files and cut it down into manageable bits. More information on this is on the Audio Submission page.

Laurel beat me to the punch. That's a good idea!

Also, Debbie- I know software came with my soundcard and also with windows. You should be able to create a wav file easily.
Also, there are some downloads available online. A friend of mine suggested : http://www.syntrillium.com/cooledit/main.html

Good luck!

Thanks Todd, Laurel and raindancer. After just a quick look both those links are what I am looking for :)
