I'm curious to know what you think about this type of media for an erotic story. Do you prefer a male or female voice? Men, can you enjoy listening to a male voice for an erotic story? Granted, it’s all in the voice but lets say that the male has a great voice and you can tell he’s enjoying the story, he loves telling the story. Would a sexy story, by a male turn you on?

not sure I've ever listened to one, but I think if it was from male POV, it might work.

I wonder, if most men fear being aroused from listening to a story with a male's voice.

Persoanlly, listenign to a male voice and being aroused is not that big of a deal. For me, the story is teh trigger, the setting, the characters the action... if its a male voice reading it, I think of it as a buddy recounting a hot night. And the heavier breathing as he is really getting into it makes it that much more powerful.

Granted if the story is from a female perspective, I love the female voice, and hearing arousal in her words, but that is more icing on a cake than the meal itself.

that is my point, its the story that is the 'trigger' and should be the key to enjoying the story. well, and the person reading the story has to sound like he/she is enjoying themselves (grammer check).

Exactly!

And if it labels me as bi so be it but if it was read by a guy with a voice like Hugh Jackman...... then so much sexier.

Damn that man has a voice I'd kill for.

I was thinking more gravel, whiskey and cigarettes....Clint Eastwood maybe? Since Bogart is dead. A film noir pacing and tone, with red hot sex.

Why would that make a man bi? i dont think so...

Just being proactively overly sensitive.

And yeah SH, if the story were a noir kind of tale, then a gravely Bogart / Eastwood vocie would be so much better.

And if I could get the actors, I'd love to do an erotic radio drama one day, just to say I've done it.

I've been told I have a great vocie for phone sex, and had tons of acting training back in the day.... More of a smooth charletan con artist than a gravely whisky soaked gum shoe, but if someone is willing to buy the whisky... ;)

I prefer the sex of the individual to match the best perspective from which it is written. If in question, I would always vote female. I don't know if guys are the same way or not, but that is just my feeling.

I could see some being turned off by the sound of a gravelly voiced man telling them he is cumming. But obviously that is not the rule for them all.

i enjoy both, for me its the pov of the story, and the voice...and the reader has to enjoy what he/she is reading

Yes - it is all in the POV. A bass voice, however well enunciated, saying "I felt my pussy tingle as he nibbled on my tit" would be somewhat jarring, as would a soprano saying "I felt my prick harden as I caught my first glimpse of her pussy, and realised she wasn't wearing knickers".

So Mickey Mouse going "Oh god Minnie, heh heh oh yeah you dirty slut!" would be a boner killer?
