This is just to encourage people to make audio stories - and to brainstorm new and original concepts for audio stories.

Anyone have suggestions to start with?

Alternate audio paths

Ok, I'll get the ball rolling. I've had the idea for a while of making an audio story that has multiple paths. Short audio clips and the user has to choose which audio path is the best for them.

A short example:
clip 1. Setup-girl kidnapped
clip 2a. in the trunk where she imagines what is going to happen to her
or clip2b. back seat where the party begins

Now if you chose clip 2a your choices are clip 3a and 3b but if you chose 2b then you have clip 3c and 3d.

You would actually have two or more complete stories to make it work. The story could merge at some points. The clips would have to be short due to bandwidth concerns

Are you planning on submitting something like that to lit soon? (I, for one, would love to hear it. )

If I could find the time I might take a shot at it but I can barely keep my head above water right now. I think in this case, I'm just going to be an idea man and let someone else run with it.

Thats actually the norm: they even call it "Text with Audio."

We should start a campaign, to get all the authors to record a story...they don't even need to write a new one, just do a recording of a story they already have, it would be cool to hear everyone's voices...

If you're going to use it for the Survivor Contest, it has to have corresponding text (that must meet minimum word count requirement of 750). Text must be an accurate script of the audio.
