Attachments undeletable

Some of my attachments are not deletable, they lack the checkbox to do so. Why and how to delete them?

Also, editing options seems to think I need 5 characters as if I'm posting for 1st time.

The thread's been locked because of the number of posts on it, so you can't edit the content of it anymore.

In a similar situation I've asked a mod to unlock the thread for a little while, deleted the attachments and after that the thread's been locked again.
