Attaching image from a tablet

Not working for me (Android Nexus 7). Just says 'file not found' when I select the image from the tablet. Anyone know if it should work.

More tests and I find that pictures have to be less than 100kb and not greater red than 800x600. The one I'm trying to attach is definitely < 100kb but maybe it's > 800x 600. Further checking ....

Are you trying to attach the image, taken on your Nexus 7, to an e-mail? If so, the easier option might be to either 1) plug the device into your computer and download said picture, or 2) e-mail it to yourself so that you can access it on your computer.

If you're having trouble accessing the image itself on your tablet, I know less what to tell you. I work with mobile devices all day, but corrupted or misplaced images are not typically amongst the problems we deal with. =(

I'm just trying to use the 'attach' function of this forum in a reply. At first I wondered if it was working at all as it kept coming up 'file not found', then I did some tests on one or two small images (< 100kb as stated by the forum if you want to attach an image) and they worked OK. I need to check the other stipulation (< 800x600 res) with the image I am trying to attach, which is actually < 100kb so should work if the resolution is OK.

I know I could try things on my PC or laptop but more and more I am using other means, in this case my Nexus 7 tablet, which is very convenient while, as now, I'm recovering from an op and can't get around too easily.

Thanks for your reply, though, and I'll be back when I've established the resolution of the image.

Well, it's 720x576 (and 60kb) so within 800x600 and 100kb limits and therefore should be accepted for selection. However, as suggested, copied it to the desktop and it picked it up fine from there so it's gonna be one of life's little mysteries for the moment ....

your issue is that to embed an image on lit, it needs to be hosted online somewhere first. if it's adult in nature, that will considerably restrict your options for online hosting.

gerarde is NOT trying to hotlink an image. gerarde is having trouble with the attachment function:

What format is the picture? You've eliminated pixel size and filesize, perhaps your tablet uses an unacceptable image format?

No, I'm afraid it's a jpg

Thanks for your suggestions. Won't get too hung up about it. The PC still does the job.
