An Ohio Democratic lawmaker and former presidential candidate has presented articles of impeachment against President George W. Bush to Congress.

Thirty-five articles were presented by Rep. Dennis Kucinich to the House of Representatives late Monday evening, airing live on CSPAN.

"The House is not in order," said Kucinich to Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), upon which Pelosi pounded her gavel.

"Resolved," Kucinich then began, "that President George W. Bush be impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors, and that the following articles of impeachment be exhibited to the United States Senate. ...

"In his conduct while President of the United States, George W. Bush, in violation of his constitutional oath to faithfully execute the office of president of the United States, and to the best of his ability preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, and in violation of his constitutional duty to take care that the laws be faithfully executed, has committed the following abuses of power..."

Fat chance. In this country impeachment is for dresses covering in cum. Not soliders covered in blood.

What does he have against Bush that he can hang his hat on? I think is a push to up his profile.

"Article 1 - Creating a secret propaganda campaign to manufacture a false case for war against Iraq."
Something that is supported by a recent senate report.

-Statements and implications by the President and Secretary of State suggesting that Iraq and al-Qa'ida had a partnership, or that Iraq had provided al-Qa'ida with weapons training, were not substantiated by the intelligence.

--Statements by the President and the Vice President indicating that Saddam Hussein was prepared to give weapons of mass destruction to terrorist groups for attacks against the United States were contradicted by available intelligence information.

--Statements by President Bush and Vice President Cheney regarding the postwar situation in Iraq, in terms of the political, security, and economic, did not reflect the concerns and uncertainties expressed in the intelligence products.

--Statements by the President and Vice President prior to the October 2002 National Intelligence Estimate regarding Iraq's chemical weapons production capability and activities did not reflect the intelligence community's uncertainties as to whether such production was ongoing.

--The Secretary of Defense's statement that the Iraqi government operated underground WMD facilities that were not vulnerable to conventional airstrikes because they were underground and deeply buried was not substantiated by available intelligence information.

--The Intelligence Community did not confirm that Muhammad Atta met an Iraqi intelligence officer in Prague in 2001 as the Vice President repeatedly claimed.

and that's just one article.

Pure political election garbage, Bush is a lame duck who so out of there, why doesn't this jackass try working on new energy bill or something actually useful.

You think he's above being charged with anything at all?

I have seen no smoking gun. Its pure politics and Bush is dead politically anyway. Lets look forward to hope and change, heal all the divisions, raise the oceans, skip through the city streets.

Better late than never I guess, but the chances of this succeeding are minuscule at best.

You don't know what the "Downing Street Memo" is, do you.

You know what?

I wonder what the fuck the dumb jackasses are going to do NEXT year and the year after and so on when we are still having economic problems and still having terrorist problems and no Bush to blame it all on.

Just like we had BEFORE Bush was in office.

One way or another, he will get what is coming to him for all the screwing over.

To have a non political effect this should have been done five or six years ago, not now. Now it's water under the bridge, lives lost and no excuses.

Even if her were to be impeached, he'd still probably end his term before Congress would have him removed. Moot point.
