i'm a leo. triple fire actually. sun in leo, moon in sag, aries rising. i've dated a lot of sagittarii and had satisfying relationships for some time with them, brief, intense but fun ones with pisces and libras, and some pretty serious intrerest in some aries, virgo, cancer, and either taurus or gemini. but my current (and final) match (and first formal D./s partner) is a scorpio. she amazes me in pretty much every way. being that my signs are what they are, if you should happen to subscribe to such ideas, you might gather (correctly) that i am top in case someone is unclear. intense, challenging, and really just so right in so many ways, the current matchup.

This is very true. What He said about my family seemed to be pretty accurate even if it was His own perspective. Everything He says is so accurate when it comes to astrology. i think His knowlegde in this area helps Him dominate and understand me better. I would never make a decision based on anyone's sign, but I can say that I'm awful leery of fire signs, now.
The problem being, that I am horribly, horribly attracted to fire signs. And it always ends horribly, horribly badly. With many harsh words and broken hearts.
So I'm uncertain that I'll ever be emotionally involved with a fire sign again. BUT I'd certainly consider one just for sex. Goddamn, they're hot.
My current potential-Sir is a Taurus, as am I. Ohhhh, I can't WAIT to see how THAT will play out in person. I recommend y'all duck.

All the planets (and the lights) - 11 for astrology.
All the Houses these planets and lights are found in.
All the angles between all the planets (and lights)
Orb of angle, as well as applying or separating.
Rising sign and setting sign.
Planetary rulership for rising and setting sign.
Planetary interaction by aspect.
House cusps and planetary rulerships
and more -
And that's just for ONE chart!
When comparing two, charts, you have to decide which comparison method you'll use - composite chart or bi-wheel. (I use bi-wheel.)
In bi-wheel, you have to compare every one of the things above with every one of the things in the other chart. This becomes extremely complex.
You can't tell much of anything by looking at Sun, or even Sun and Moon. It's like looking at two pieces of a 500 piece jigsaw puzzle and trying to say you know what the image is of! It don't work that way!
I use astrology (considering the whole chart) to understand how to deal with people better. It's extremely useful, once you stop thinking there's only one or two pieces to the puzzle. And it can be very useful for understanding why someone is submissive or dominant, how to deal with them, and what they are doing. I definitely use astrology to consider my potentials. But then, I have 18 years of experience at it, so I "speak" the language pretty well.

yes indeed, but the general tendencies/traits are useful just to know how a person might react at a particular circumstance! It is like judging the size of an ice berg from 10 km distance under thick fog!
With regard to compatibility, and apart form the sun signs and moon signs per se, as already said, the position of the planets and their "influences' do have a role in complete definition of the personality and what superficially seems to be an incompatibility simply based on sun signs might actully be "soul mates" when analysed in depth!
And in India, there is a tenet declared: once there is compatibility of the mind, astrological compatibility comes secondary or possibly none! So, the so called a "taurus bull" marauding those in its ways....might be something you have never seen in your partner.. but possibly if you see him in open arena....tackling others then you might see this trait. So, the traits we actually see in our close ones are rather modified/toned down ones....again this is a generalisation!

Not sure that signs have all too much to do with it but I'm a Virgo and my best relationships have been with Leo men. I seem to attract those lion men like bees to honey lol just something I've observed. But I wouldn't pick someone based on their birthday.
