Syrian conflict is ‘between Cold War & WWIII’ – Assad to UK media
https://www.rt.com/news/365551-assad-syria-conflict-wwii/

"
Assad:
“We call it a world war, but it’s a world war against Syria, tens of countries against us, sending those terrorists money and logistics, whereas our army is only Syrian, so we struggled,” he said in the interview released on Sunday.
-- To talk about a political solution while the other side is controlled by masters in Saudi, Turkey, the UK, the USA, and France is not realistic. The core of the problem is those countries are interfering. If they stop, then the terrorists will be weak and leave or be defeated, and then we can sit as Syrians and talk about solutions."

Assad:
"Given the dire state of affairs, military support from Russia has been essential. The Russian military has been in Syria for six decades. They never try to interfere because they don’t want anything from us. They don’t ask us to be a puppet president.
-- They know if Syria loses the war against terrorism, this terrorism will prevail in Europe, and that affects Russia and everyone in the world."

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev:
"Russia’s primary aim is to enhance its own security by preventing the jihadists from former Soviet republics that are fighting in Syria from returning to Russia and carrying out attacks there."

Hillary and her neocon buddies have a plan to restart the plan, kill an awful lot of Syrians (her words) and possibly provoke a hot war with Iran and Russia.

All those pretend progressives with her will be in rapture at all the humanitarian mass murder.

No one like killing black and brown people more than Democrats.

In other words, "We're fighting over there so we won't be fighting over here."
That has a familiar ring to it.

So, what would be Russia's incentive to finding a "political solution" be, given that if the conflict in Syria ends, a percentage of those jihadists will be "returning to Russia"?

Let's drop your rusophobia for a sec.
Let's focus on the US instead:

Leaving aside the increasing amount of evidence that they backed up Saudi Arabia / ISIS),
- what do YOU think the US and UK are doing in Syria?

Other than trying to swap the government with one whose allegiance lies with some international Corporate interest…
Like they did with so many countries where they intervened in order "to export democracy" or "for the war against terror".

The US is doing the same thing as Russia; keeping the regional players focused on each other and the jihadists.
The big differences between the US and Russia is that Mesopotamia and the Levant are part of its near-abroad.

Now, how is any part of what I said "Russia-phobic"?
Was it the part where I quoted the Russian Prime Minister?
