THIS IS STUPID AND DANGEROUS AND THE PEOPLE BEHIND IT SHOULD BE FIRED: Asking people to show up on time is not inclusive, says Clemson employee training. “It disrespects other people’s cultures to ask them to follow American conventions of appointments starting when they are literally scheduled to start.”

It disrespects our culture to be in America and not follow American conventions. And Clemson is mostly an engineering school, where precision and accuracy matter more than culture. Or should, anyway. .

If it bothers you so much, don't schedule anything with anyone from Clemson.

Problem solved.

In my culture, it's customary to pick your nose and then eat It.
Do you mind?

If a Korean tells you that a tournament is going to start at ten, show up at one.

That's when the Koreans will all show up...

;) ;)

I am often late and it doesn't matter how early I wake up. I mean like five minutes late half the time. I am sure it is annoying to some people.

I'll bet every single member of the football team knows that they had better show up on time...

;) ;)

Being continuously late shows disrespect to others. Get your shit together.

Continued tardiness shows a lack of discipline, commitment, and order, in one's life. So, if you want all of those characteristics to define your business, hire that person.

fixating on where I got it from

and not the content

is a sign of DUMONESS:cool:

I walk in two minutes late and I am ready to assume critical care, and the nurse I relieve is out on time.

They won't get rid of me because I bring the energy and the talent, it's a two minute trade off a few shifts month.

You remind me of my wife.

She always finds one more thing to do as she heads out the door.

She is always five minutes late even when she's leaving 15 minutes early, but she's a good nurse, so the hospital tolerates it...

The worst of two dysfunctional worlds...government employees in an academic environment. You can bet they only attract the best and brightest. :)
