I have a few stories in mind to publish but before I do, I would like some questions answered about story content.

Concerning a fantasy story- humans must be 18, that's just sensible. What about non-humans? I don't mean Elves or anything that would technically skirt the rules, but a genuine non-human. Someone who doesn't age but can often be childish and essentially never grew up to act like an adult? Is that too much? Someone requested I write a story for them.

Another story request, this time erotic horror- there will be lots of sex, but most of it is decidedly non-human and it will also be a violent story. I'm not into snuff but the intensity of the premise I developed intrigues me. Would this be too much for the site? If someone could answer here or in private messaging, that would be appreciated. Thanks!

If a character is acting like a child, no matter their physical age, it's not going to pass.

As to horror, it's a tightrope walk. If it's set in an obviously fantastic setting, you seem to have more leeway. Death connected to sex acts is going to likely get you rejected, though.

I suggest you read a few of the better (=popular) stories in the existing groups.
You'll get a better feeling about what's OK and what isn't.

I think the best rule of thumb I ever heard was to ask if you filmed it, would the actress have to be below or above 18? The girl that was turned to a vampire at 12 and lived 200 years since would be a no-go, the android girl that looks 30 but was built two years ago is fine. Sometimes the same idea extends to behaviors, if a girl knows essentially nothing about sex it makes the story look like it's pandering to pedophile readers, even if the story calls her 18.

As for monsters and sex and violence, I've had some stuff like that go through without a problem, so make a go at it and only worry about dealing with a rejection if it actually happens.

The word I got from Laurel is that if a character APPEARS to be an underage human then they're verboten. I nicely skirted that in one story by transforming the kids into adult banana slugs. And the snuff rule is "no death for sexual gratification". If someone is killed, fine, death happens; if someone else gets off on it, no good. Self-mutilation is a no-go, too. Don't have a character drill a hole in their head.
