I've been worried that there is a lot of bad information floating around on the internet about BDSM that might lead to trouble for some new submissives. Also, there are a lot of false dominants and predators who prey on new submissives by telling them what they think they want to hear. Many times, when you are new to your submission, you will be so excited at this world you have discovered that you may end up as the victim of various types of horny losers who know the TALK of mastery...but not the WALK. SO, I started this thread so that any new submissives could really just ask any questions they might have about the lifestyle and be sure of getting a straightforward answer from a well-respected, experienced master with over ten years experience in the lifestyle.

"The only stupid question is the unasked one"

Great idea?

Great Idea! How wonderful that you are willing to share with us, and concerned that we are safe (no sarcasm intended)!

Great!! Francisco will be answering questions in this thread. I look forward to reading his replies.

Will you settle on one av for a while? You make me dizzy.

A big load of scat on her tits. Sick or erotic?

Question: When will the well-respected, experienced master with over ten years experience in the lifestyle be showing up? ;)

I'm not a "well-respected, experienced master with over ten years experience in the lifestyle"...but I play one on TV.

I'll probably have more questions than answers here, but I like the idea of this thread and am here to support it.

umm... i had an online master (i am currently w/o a master...) but anywho, he used to talk to me like a dom and all and have the attitude, but he gave me a lot more... rights? privilages? he didn't rly treat me as a slave, so i was just wondering if he counts as a just a very generous dom or wuh?

Personally, I have no experience with online relationships, and I don't have a great understanding of them to begin with. But by your tone, it seems that you were left unsatisfied with it. There are many different kinds of Doms, personally I tend toward the more lenient side myself. Keep looking, and be patient, and learn.

Actually though, I'm left wondering just exactly your question is.

One thing I do know about online Doms though.......there is a big difference between a Dom and an asshole.......and there are a lot of assholes.......choose wisely.

Wow, thanks for kicking off the Ask the Master thread with a bang, folks. I hope this will be a place where newbies will feel free to ask for the advice they need and will share any experiences they've had that might need clarification. I don't want this to turn into a BDSM argument flame thread...there's plenty of other room for that on these boards. This is strictly an advice and mentoring thread; where I share my experience and guidance with newcomers or others who may have begun to walk the path of BDSM but taken a wrong turn somewhere.

Wildrose: Thanks for the kind words. Here is a "wild rose" for you---->
:rose:

Annelize: ha ha, very funny. Francisco and his insufferable partner have the rest of the bdsm boards at their disposal.

WriterDom: My changing Avs reflect the many moods of my Mastery. Now, as to your question: I suspect that you ask it in a mocking spirit; and debates over the eroticism of this or that practice is not strictly the point of this thread; however, I will take this opportunity to point out one of my cardinal rules to new submissives: NO KIDS AND NO SCAT.

lark and johnny: sittdown and shuttup in the peanut gallery.

Saint_Sinner: Ask away.

Altensing: It sounds like you have had your first experience with an oh-so-common feature of our online BDSM world: the false dominant. You may not realize this, but there are many, many guys out there who like the idea of having some eager young submissive at their disposal, and who have learned some of the right buttons to push (for instance, while watching real Masters in action in various AOL chatrooms, or by reading online BDSM websites and literature), but who lack the keys of domination and mastery: RESPONSIBILTY & CONSISTENCY. IT sounds as if your online "dom" simply used you for his online pleasure and then; when he got tired of the WORK of owning an online slave, simply GAVE UP----and attempted to play it off with some hogwash about giving you "more privileges". In short, he counts neither as dom nor master, but merely as what we used to call a Horny Net Geek, back in the USenet days.

SS: Well spoken. There ARE "lenient masters" but they are as rare as Hens teeth, and for all their leniency; they are also always consistent.

Are you channeling who I think you're channeling?

Is there something in the water at the Blue Ribbon?

Or are you off buying strange substances from weird men in Washington Square again?

This will be interesting.

I have a question:
Why can't new subs play with turds? I have problems with the cosmic and legal wrongness of involving children but turds are simply socially maligned and potentially sickeness inducing, as are a lot of the things we like. If you've been ardently dreaming of rolling around in scat for years, why is that inappropriate for the newbie?

I'm just waiting for rosco to offer us "Ask The Master-The Game", for a limited time only, and only $59.95!! (Available for PC, PS2, XBox, and Game Boy Advance)

I'm not channeling anything...just trying to offer a service to new submissives here. I do what I can with my regular "mentees" (is that a word?); but sometimes it seems as if the tides of bullshit here on the internet threaten to overwhelm everyone.

As far as scat goes....I think you are smart enough to know the answer to that question.

My advice to newbies would be, beware the "master" who sets himself up as the be-all and end-all of masters. Do your homework, read in the Library, read on other sites, be patient, let other SUBMISSIVES mentor you, and most of all, be wary of those who sound to good to be true. They often are.

Newbies, take what you can use from each and every thread, and throw the rest on the trash heap.

~anelize

Sure, mentees is a word. They use it at the mentorship program offered by my agency all the time.

I'd agree with Anelize's comments about being the "be all end all" master...which makes me wonder if maybe this thread shouldn't be called Ask A Master? Just a thought.

And this thread is reminding me of JM's "ask me anything" thread - was that in the Cafe? I haven't gotten any e-mails notifying me of replies lately, so I guess it's died out.

Anyway, I don't personally have any questions to pose to rr at this time, but I look forward to seeing where the thread goes.

umm... i gotst another question, as i mentioned in my post above i am currently without a dom, but i am looking for 1, where should i post that? does anybody actually read those personal section things? and would anybody actually pay attention to me, having only 2 posts...

I think it should be mentioned that anyone who gives himself or herself a column to speak from a point of expertise is only formalizing a behavior that many people do informally...everyone knows everything if you listen to any of us talk for any length of time. All anyone knows is their own way of doing this puppy, BDSM is and always will be a very individual thing.

Altensing, I encourage you to question everything you hear if it doesn't sit right with what you know to be true already. Being a newbie at BDSM doesn't mean you're a newbie at life, a lot of old instincts and acid tests remain useful now. But that's MY bias.

I like the idea of finding a Dom by going to a munch making CLOSE friends with six people of any orientation and seeing if they can set you up. Kind of like vanilla people who try to meet guys in church or shul, it's usually best done indirectly.

Nice, new executioner costume with the black pointy hood with eye-holes, big hairy belly and pointy elf shoes, "Dom DeLuise". I’ve tried the peanuts in the peanut gallery but they seem to be stale. Gnome gig got stale too? ;)

Wholly crap.

From a submissive to all other submissives: RED FLAGS, RED FLAGS, RED FLAGS!!!

While I guess it's a nice sentiment, I think the master of the thread is a bit all inclusive.

You need to check your ego at the door, sit down, shut up and learn something. This is not a thread for ego. It's a thread to help new submissives avoid some of the pitfalls of this life style.
