Except that... you know what I mean.

Otherwise - go for it, give me your best shot.

If blood has DNA in it does it get 'written' over when put into somebody else's body or do some people have more than one type of DNA floating around in their body?

What do you like most about yourself? (And not your cock! :D)

A loyal reader, Silverluna writes in, via the net, with the following question:

"why do cows moo? why can't they chirp and birds meow?"

This can only be answered in a certain manner. That is not to say there is only one answer, but rather that there is only one WAY to answer it. And that is with a question:

What is the sound of one hand clapping?

I may be the only person on Lit who doesn't know you, so let's start with the simple first-date questions.

1. what do you look for in a woman?

2. what kind of music are you into?

3. what is your favorite leisure activity to do (besides sex)?

4. married/kids?

5. and my favorite AOL question: age/sex/location?

Geez - who the fuck do you think I am asking a tough question like that?

But, wtf, I'll answer it anyway.

Classically, each person has one of four blood types: type A, type B, type AB, or type O. In truth, a person has many other blood types, such as Rh, Kell, Duffy, and more. The four basic blood types (plus Rh) are the most important, however, when matching blood for transfusion. DNA is a long, twisting molecule that carries a biological blueprint. Nuclear DNA (nucDNA) is found in the cell nucleus, which acts as a control center for hereditary information. Mitochondria, which produce the cell's energy, also contain DNA. There are structural differences between nuclear and mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) that have important consequences.

The short answer however is - you've only got one type and DNA. You see transfusions are made using Red Blood Cells - red blood cells don't have a nucleus and therefore do not have DNA. (In the maturation of a red cell it spits out the nucleus - red cells do not divide and have a life span of only 120 days. They're really just banks of hemoglobin).

White cells however could contaminate your blood and give you a DNA type. However even when white cells are transfused the donor DNA only survives about 4 hours during the transfusion (that's because the white cells also only survive 4 hours). Basically your own immune system eliminates them.

Ok Dilly..... What is the speed of the English Sparrow and the general direction of flight?

Hummmmmmmmmm?

Why do the Knights of Neet arn't the Knights of Shrubbery?

Huuuummmmmmmm?

:D

Damn this is a lot of questions - but I'll get to them all - I promise! But hey - until I do answer everyone - only one question per person!

Think about it - you have your answer. You really do. And you know you do, don't you? You're just causing trouble.

You didn't say it had to be an easy one and I know you like to be challenged. I happened to be thinking about that today as strange as that may sound. I've been doing some reading lately on stem cell research..pro's/con's and I didn't take enough biology in college or high school.

Thank you for the answer. :D

And I thought the last question was tough!

Hmmm - I guess what I like most about myself - or what I want to like most about myself (perhaps there is a difference?) is that I'm open minded... or at least I try and be open minded. I don't think any of us are that way. Well - we're probably born that way but our upbringing always imposes these structures on our minds and personalities - colors the way we look at people and things and ideas.

We all grew up with various beliefs and prejudices and have this intellectual and emotional "baggage" that most of us don't even know we carry. A couple of examples; We're republicans because our parents were republicans OR we're republicans because our parents were democrats. We're Catholic because our parents were Catholic - or we have rebelled against it because our parents were Catholic. Either way, it influenced us - in one direction or another. Finding who we are is one of the greatest challenges there is. Being who we are not because of these influences but because of what is right for us. But an even greater challenge is accepting others for who they are. I find it hard to believe that there has ever been a person in all of history who has truly mastered both of these things. But we can try, we can keep on trying. I've been trying most of my life with varying degrees of success so... yes...

What I like most about my self is that I TRY to be open-minded. Try to be who I am and try to accept others for who they are.

WEll, what is my damn answer?

I'm taking them in order. That is the fair thing to do. So either hold your horses or bribe me with a blow job.
