Ask Any Democrat, Obamacare Is Going Great...

*chuckle* Looks like 'access' is going to be another one of those myths the proponents were peddling.

"Yes Virginia, you are fully covered. We'll set your appointment for July 16th at 3 PM............in 2016."

Ishmael

I wonder why 70% of CA doctors aren't participating when, according to the MGMA study, 76% of doctors nationwide are participating. So outside the CA the participation rate is actually higher than 76%

Bullshit! You're too fucking young to get sick or need a doctor.

Hi, dumbass. I'm 41 and shattered and dislocated my ankle. I was in a wheelchair for 3 months. Here's the proof, tubby.

Don't you ever get tired of being wrong?

Seriously, I'm sorry that happened to you. How did it happen?

A sincere thank you.

I was taking out the trash in my house slippers in March after it rained and slipped. My surgeon said it was one of her worst cases. It was shattered and dislocated. I have a plate and 6 pins. No fun. The worst of the pain was the ligaments and tendons growing around the metal.

ACA saved my girlfriend's life and has taken care of me. I guess we're the only lucky ones ;):D

There is so much bullshit and lies told about ACA, there's no way to know what to believe, except what you see up close.

A friend of mine is about to go on disability because of vascular disease. Since we live in a state with a Republican governor who wants to be President, he's not eligible for Medicaid. His Cobra insurance premium was going to be $950 a month. I gave him the card of my Blue Cross agent and told him just to give him a call. It turns out he is eligible for a Blue Cross ACA compliant policy with better coverage than his old employer major medical plan, for about $150 a month.

Also, it's good anyplace they take Blue Cross.

Just out of curiosity, do you know how much taxpayers will be kicking in per month to Blue Cross in addition to the $150 your friend will be paying?

Good for both of you. Seriously, my lady was in the hospital for months and got the best care possible for her condition.

. That number of 214,524, estimated by American Action Forum,

Hmm. A quick Google gives one this about the American Action Forum:

The American Action Network — a self-described “action tank” that advocates for “center-right policies” — was founded in February 2010 before the midterm congressional elections. It was started by Norm Coleman, a former Republican senator from Minnesota, and Fred Malek, a longtime Republican fundraiser and strategist...
...American Action Network spent most of its money in 2012 — nearly $9 million — on five House races. It spent more than $2 million, each, trying to defeat Democrats Carol Shea-Porter, a New Hampshire congresswoman, and Jose Hernandez of California, who was challenging GOP Rep. Jeff Denham. Shea-Porter narrowly won; Hernandez lost. It also spent more than $1 million, each, against Democrats Rick Nolan of Minnesota, who defeated incumbent Rep. Chip Cravaack; David Gill of Illinois, who lost to Rodney Davis in an open race; and Val Demings of Florida, who lost to Rep. Dan Webster.

Additionally, American Action Network contributed a little more than $80,000 to the Congressional Leadership Fund, a super PAC dedicated to preserving the Republican House majority. The Congressional Leadership Fund shares several key board members with the American Action Network.

I keep reading bullshit like the OP and wonder where people find this stuff. It's completely contrary to my experience. Of course, no one would know that unless they actually had to apply for ACA coverage.

I don't understand the thing about "Over 214,000 doctors won't participate in the new plans under the Affordable Care Act..."

A person goes to the ACA exchange and walks away with an insurance policy. The doctor has nothing to do with it. It works like any other major medical plan. People have deductibles to pay, just like everybody else. The claim is filed like any other insurance policy. Suddenly doctors are worried that people can't pay their deductibles? What's new about that?

I have some experience with such injuries. I feel for you and hope you regain the full use of that ankle.

It's brutal. I'm very active in soccer, softball, wake and snow boarding and may not be able to participate fo a long while.

Again, thank you.

It's a made up number by a GOP astroturf group. You'd have to be a Vetteman to give it any credence.
