...is the obvious title that comes to mind for a story like this;
The main character is a woman, I imagine early to mid-thirties, very physically attractive. She is the manager of her section of a sizable corporation. She is the kind of woman who makes it clear to those around her that she is the boss, but without being condecending or domineering. She is good natured, kind, but definitely not weak.
One of the up-and-coming (no pun intended
) stars of her office is a good-looking, inteligent man, a few years younger than her. He finds the manager very attractive, and she feels the same about him. They connect very well on a personal level, but because of the manager's authority over him, the man is reluctant to make a move on her. Even though she is equally attracted to the man, the manager doesn't make a move, either. She knows that he is enamored with her and she need only wait for him to come to her when he can resist her no longer.
One day, the man is called in to the manager's office to discuss the main issue their department is concerned with at the moment. The man proposes that the assistance of another company would be a boon, and he has scheduled a meeting with some of their staff to discuss the matter. The only problem is that he doubts they will take the job, or they will take it, but not for a reasonable price.
Then the manager gives the man some wise advice, about how he can not be afraid to go after what he wants. She tells him that he needs to state his objectives plainly and clearly, and not be deterred by the prospect of rejection. Her speech is heavy with implication.
After considdering her moving words, the man takes the manager's advice, and admits that he very much wants to make love to her. Without batting an eyelid, the manager gets out of her chair and begins to undress. She had been willing to sleep with him for a long time - all he had to do was ask.
After a passionate fling in her office, and an invitation for him to visit her at home that night, the man leaves the manager's office, fully dressed, with the rest of the office staff unaware of what just transpired.
