I would love it if somebody would write a story w/asian woman celebrities as the main characters. BTW, what did the response to my other post have to do with the original mesage?!

sounds like a plan

which ones I need names and photos. Give me a setting, group, alone, toys????

celebrities I love

Michelle Kwan
Lucy Liu
Amy Chow (gymnast)
Satomi Yoshida (model)
Kiana Tom
Kristi Yamaguchi
Lu Chen (skater)

I'm not much for toys, but I love lesbianism (BTW all are of age), based on who they are you can use obvious people.

Don't forget Ming Na (Dr. Chen from ER) and Ann Curry (oooooh ann curry) from nbc news -- the today show.

Speaking of the today show, there is a LOT of sexual tension on that show, i was really surprised to see. I would love to see some stories featuring matt lauer servicing ann and katie!:)

Don't forget Kelly Hu. Or doesn't she count, coming from Hawaii? That would be a pitty.

She was the reason I watched "The Single Guy"! Think we can hook her up with Weaver?

Ya'll might think she's pretty, but Hawaiian does not mean Asain, per se. Hawaii is an U.S. state, not a country in Asia. But, maybe she's not a pure blood Hawaiian? I do not know since I don't know who she is.

Don't want to get into some rasistic discussion but don't you think it depends more on the looks and origins than on the state they belong to?

a new word?

"Racistic"? Anyway, jubilee, i agree w/you. this thread was more abuot descent and appearance than whether or not so and so was born in beijing.

Maybe it was the wrong word

But saying "rasistic" I meant the difference in origin and truly not the quality in people (as there is none). But thanks we're on the same level, though.

LOL. I know what you meant. Like i said, i agree with you. The former English major in me couldn't resist needling you for your "creative" language though. It was meant in jest, jubilee.

I don't know anything about this actress, other than her being from Hawaii (since I aquired this info from Lit), so I do not know if she has some Asian decent in her and simply lives in Hawaii.

The only thing I was trying to say here is I've noticed people "confuse" Hawaiians as a whole with Asians as a whole. And, when Jubilee asked if Kelly Hu "counted also, or not since she was from Hawaii", I felt that generalization was being made again. That is all.

Okay, I see. Still I wonder how someone could not know such a gorgeous sister like Kelly Hu ;) You truly miss something concerning this point, Tiggs.

I guess so... I must not be watching the same TV shows as others?

And not surf the same websites... Maybe I'm a bit overexcited about Kelly Hu at the moment but look out for som pics of her and maybe you'll see what I mean.

Errmm, ya!

Speaking from the standpoint of being someone who doesn't easily classify as being 'Asian' and yet considers herself such...

Its easiest to say Asian/Pacific Islander. Then you CAN include Hawaii, and everyone's happy trees.

So there.

LOL

However, all the names listed (including Kelly Hu's) indicate Chinese or Japanese descent - which would qualify them as straight up Asians.

How come there aren't any OTHER kind of Asian/Pacific Island celebrities on that list?

Almost makes me want to cry...

LOL

Then again, I suppose its only logical to assume that most third world countries aren't renowned for their international superstars or anything.

ROFLMAO

I guess up to now there are simply a few asian/pacific islanders who are commonly known.
Why?
Maybe for a similar reason why blacks (sorry for another political incorrect phrase) still have to struggle in the entertainment buisness.
Although lately the situation is getting better, I guess.

Would also love to have Zhang Ziyi and maybe even Michelle Yeoh in the story - Stars of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon - have attached a lovely shot of Ms. Zhang (actually met her in Beijing and she is so sweet!)

The only one I had at the tip of my head was Don Ho.

And, NO!
