His speech at the Teen Choice Awards was very good. Way better than one would expect from him.
 
I'm pleasantly shocked at how honest he was.

yes, i agree. i never thought the guy was a fantastic actor or anything, but the way he conveyed his humility, even to a crowd of teenagers, shows he has real values. i can definitely appreciate that!
 
Haven't seen the speech, but I've noticed lots of folks talking about it.

Since folks are talking about it here, too, I guess I'll go take a look.

Good for him. I'm burned out on the TED-ization of pop culture, but whoever wrote that for him did a great job, and good on him for choosing to go that way with his speech.

Yeah, he coulda gone with playing to his screaming girl audience but chose the high road because he obviously knew that was the right thing to do. I was very pleasantly surprised with him.
 
so against what the obama wants....telling people to work. oh the horror....the horror!
